THE WEASEL IS A NOCTURNAL ANIMAL...

The problem with having a weasel run the country is that when the crap flies all the weasel cares about is saving its own neck.

So here we are... Stephen Harper prorogued parliament hoping to save his neck after coming out with a very weak and bitter pill laced November economic statement that will go down as his biggest mistake.

During the break he worked tirelessly to drive a wedge between the Liberals and NDP, thereby gutting the coalition, and the only way to do that was focus the budget on those items the Liberals would support, while removing those items they wouldn't.  It was the only intelligent thing to do and worth his effort the moment Ignatieff said he would not vote against a budget he hasn't read.

But now he's discovered that when you write a Liberal budget you trigger the contrarian nature of your fellow Conservatives.

So now the weasel has to find a way to save his neck against his own and that'll be tough for the weasel.

I wonder how long it'll take for some comedian to show a video montage of Harper's latest mistakes with the "Hinterland Who's Who" music in the background.
