Some phrases from Obama's inaugural made me think of Harper:
"On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics."
We too could use an end to this right now. Mr Harper, it's time for you to stop your attack radio ads and get to the business of dealing with this crisis, to chose "hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord."
Because even the Canadian electorate is tired of "those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history."
It's time for you to shelve your plans to change how Canada works and work with your fellow parliamentarians on the common task of getting Canada back to work. Do this and you will succeed, you may even earn your majority; continue to put politics ahead of your greater responsibilities and your defeat will be of your own making.
